Private Video Gallery for
Ms. L. Katherine Oliver
The Graduate Studies of Business Office
VCU School of Business
I assembled this video portfolio as part of my application for the role of Media Specialist in The Graduate Studies of Business Office.
I hope these videos give you a clear sense of the kind of work I've created in the past. I am excited about the opportunity to learn and grow with your team, and I hope you'll give me your most serious consideration. I have also sent Mr. Robert Clarkson a similar message, linked to a video gallery that mirrors this one.
Samples of instructional / technical training videos:
Although the content of these examples is quite different from the digital learning aids I would be helping craft for the Online MBA program, I hope these technical training videos give you a sense of my communicative, as well as technical skills as a writer, editor, videographer, and animator.
To create these videos, I would begin by gathering technical information from a mechanic or shaft alignment instructor during one-on-one meetings. Then I would write a script, breaking down the most complicated technical information into easy-to-understand concepts. Upon approval of my script by the instructors, I would then create every visual element of the video myself, hire voice talent, and deliver the final product for use in VibrAlign's training programs.
Samples of After Effects work:
I love Adobe After Effects, and I have considered it one of my favorite tools for more than a decade. Below are some short examples of work I've used AE to create.
Samples of videography / editing:
I understand that the role of Media Specialist requires someone who is familiar and confident with all tools of digital cinema. I hope you'll click on the links below to see some work I directed, shot, and edited:
Thank you very much for your time!
